The low-rise
5910 Office Building was designed and built for a start-up computer
company. The tract configuration resulted in a unique plan-form
with opportunities for interesting massing of the building elements.
Station South Business Park was designed along a curvilinear main
street. This had both aesthetic and functional consequences
in that it provided changing oblique views of buildings and provided
for vehicular speed control through the development.
Occasionally a project arises that provides unusual design opportunities
for the seemingly ordinary, even utilitarian of buildings. The
Water Tower and Pump House at this rural residential development
became the focal point of the “commons” for the development. A
concealment structure was designed around the steel tank in a manner
that made it the landmark for the development.
